The 10th of May we celebrated the centennial birthday of Thom de Klerk. We, his children. Sadly he passed away much too young in 1966, but through his music he has always remained very much alive. The Netherlands Wind Ensemble, also a legacy of Thom de Klerk, celebrated its fiftieth anniversary last year, including a beautiful tribute to its founder.
As a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra he made many recordings. As a solo artist very few. It then just seems very appropriate to gift his interpretation of Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto KV 191 to you. We hope you enjoy it,
Thomas de Klerk
